The 2018 Subaru Love Promise Customer and Community Commitment Award

What is the Subaru Love Promise?

Subaru and our retailers believe in making the world a better place and the Subaru Love Promise is our vision of respecting all people. This is our commitment to show love and respect to our customers and to work to make a positive impact in the world.

The Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment

We believe in being a positive force in something bigger. And it all starts right here in our community. Not just by our donations, but by our actions.

That's why we stay true to our Love Promise Community Commitment by partnering with a wide variety of community nonprofits and charities.

Every year, we join hands with our owners in the "Share the Love" event, giving back to our community-a community that's given so much to us.

So, every day, we strive to ensure our love is felt not just by our customers, but by all in our community. We do this because we feel it is the right thing to do.

We are proud to participate in the Love Promise Community Commitment. We're grateful, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve and support the causes and passions that are closest to our hearts, right here in our neighborhood.

All of the organizations we support have one thing in common: the unwavering dedication to improve the world and the lives of its people.

Peacock Subaru helps Clear The Shelters

Peacock Subaru Hilton Head had a fabulous time at our Yappy Hour & Clear The Shelters event on Aug. 23 at the dealership. This event was held to collect items for local animal shelters and to help get dogs adopted and raise awareness for pet rescue organizations. Subaru Loves Pets and it shows through our commitment to local animal welfare groups. Brad Wells Music entertained the crowd and Skull Creek Boathouse provided delicious food for the crowd, which included many guests who took part in BYOD – Bring Your Own Dog. Subaru is a pet-friendly dealership, and we loved seeing all of the dogs in the showroom! WSAV News 3 and 104.9 The Surf are great partners in our community who love to help the animals. Our generous guests, clients and employees brought items to donate to local shelters which will be distributed the first week of September. One Love Animal Rescue was on site with adoptable dogs - we hope they all find a home! Loves To Care Delivery to Local Cancer Patients  –  Lauren M

Loves To Care Delivery to Local Cancer Patients

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was thrilled to be working with Peacock Subaru again this year to deliver blankets and arts & crafts kits to our local cancer patients. Local radio host, Craig Mathews, who is also a cancer survivor joined Jill and Rachel, from Peacock, and Lauren, from LLS, for the delivery to St. Joseph's/Candler and SC Cancer Specialists. We were able to meet and speak with patients about their journey and how special it is to have a company like Subaru support them and share the messages of hope that customers wrote them at the dealership. Local patient, Ellen Taylor, said "yes, I have cancer, so what...I'm staying tough." For her, receiving the messages of hope was special but she looks forward to paying it forward and passing the messages along to other patients as well.

SubieStock: Love in Action  –  Lindsay P

SubieStock: Love in Action

Each day, national and local companies have a choice - a choice to reach out and make a difference in the world. At Subaru of Hilton Head, compassionate giving is a way of life. On October 12, 2017 Subaru of Hilton Head hosted their 2nd annual SubieStock concert event benefitting Palmetto Animal League. PAL is a private, non-profit, No Kill animal rescue organization that relies solely on community involvement and investment by charitable “Partners in Rescue” like Subaru of Hilton Head. Folks who attended SubieStock enjoyed free food, beverages, groovy door prizes and live music by the Jerry Garcia tribute band “Shakey Bones.” Fee-waived pet adoptions associated with SubieStock were made possible through a generous grant from the ASPCA and Subaru Loves Pets. Thanks to Subaru of Hilton Head and their adoption-focused SubieStock event, more than a dozen shelter pets our now safe and loved in their forever home. As I looked around at the people and pets enjoying the SubieStock festivities, I realized I was witnessing something quite powerful and extraordinary - Love in Action. When it comes to saving animals, each rescue starts with the heartfelt support of a Palmetto Animal League “Partner in Rescue” like Subaru of Hilton Head. Thank you, Subaru of Hilton Head, for all you do for abandoned, abused and neglected animals in our community. Your support saves lives!

The organization is a non-profit, and the dogs are given to those in need at no charge. Subaru really loves dogs and the dealership is so happy to help organizations like these who make such a difference in our community.

Blanket Delivery with a BIG Heart!  –  Crystal F

Blanket Delivery with a BIG Heart!

On July 6th, 2017 Jill and Patrick from Subaru of Hilton Head, Crystal from LLS, and cancer survivor and radio personality Craig Matthews set out to deliver blankets and messages of hope to two local treatment centers in the Hilton Head area: SC Cancer Specialists - Hilton Head and the Radiation and Oncology Center at the Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion. We met so many incredible patients fighting the battle to beat cancer and they were so moved by the messages of hope and blankets. Timothy Anthony Wright smiled ear to ear as he read his “Message of Hope” during his chemo treatment. “My card says, you are the best, with a big heart drawn on it! It is from Yasmine, that is just so special that a young person who doesn't know me would think of me! I hope I can thank her in person some day!” said Timothy. Timothy's oncologist shares why he appreciates the partnership of Subaru and LLS. “A lot of the treatments we give, there’s a lot of pain and suffering, a lot of insecurities, many patients are alone, and, you know when you were a child growing up, didn’t you have a teddy bear?,” said Dr. Gary Thomas, a medical oncologist at St. Joseph’s/Candler in Hilton Head, “Just a simple symbol that you can hold on to, and say hey this is here for me, I think is a very important thing.” LLS truly appreciates the Subaru dealerships, local and nationally, and this partnership. Together we want patients to know that there is a support system from their local communities, there is hope!
